Whereas yesterday was all about Netflix and chill – just kidding it was all about watching Masterchef and food ;-). Today, we took full advantage of the beauty that is NYC covered in snow. My new hobby is photography, and according to the pictures above, posing with my hands in the air. I really wave them like I just don’t care a bit too much.
Winter Storm Jonas left NYC covered in a beautiful white layer of snow, and for the first time ever I didn’t feel embarrassed taking a zillion pictures. Everyone had their cameras out and was snapping away. I’m not sure what it is about snow, but it can make even garbage look magical. We wandered through the Upper East Side and ended up in Central Park which was filled with adults and kids alike playing in the snow. Obviously, I had to participate and jump straight in. Regretting it later when I couldn’t feel my fingers anymore but sort of still worth it. Snowdays make me feel like a kid again and I couldn’t help but walk around with a big smile all day.
The reason I was completely comfortable and warm was because of my fantastic winter coat by Clavin Klein (It’s currently on sale). I cannot press how important it is to wear appropriate winter attire when you go out in the cold. Besides that it keeps you from catching a cold it also ensures a good mood. Let’s be real, no one likes being uncomfortable and frozen solid. It’s so much more fun to be cosy and warm when playing around in the snow.
I had so much fun taking pictures all day and the fact that I get to share them with you guys makes it even better. I would love some feedback and tips. I’m currently using a Nikon D3300 with a AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm Lens. Any other lenses you guys would recommend me trying out?
